Along with the ideals expressed in the netiquette document, we enforce our own anti spam policy and by contract are required to enforce the Nap.Net policy (quoted below).
We've been told that we take the Nap.Net AUP more seriously than they do themselves, but that's fine by us.

No refunds will be issued for accounts terminated due to violations of our own or Nap.Net's acceptable use policy.

We will not process any complaints without full headers and relevant log data, any complaints sent anonymously or with forged headers will not be accepted.

Nap.Net's Acceptable Use Policy

(As of January 28, 1998)

Ripco's Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") for Ripco Communications Inc is designed to help protect Ripco's network, Ripco's customers and the Internet community in general from irresponsible or, in some cases, illegal activities.

Ripco customers and their customer base shall not, nor shall they permit or assist others to abuse or fraudulently use Ripco Services, including but not limited to the following:

1. Sending large numbers (more than 10) of unsolicited e-mail messages that causes complaints from the recipients of such unsolicited e-mail..

2. Posting the same or similar messages to large numbers (more than 5) of Usenet newsgroups.

3. Attempts to interfere with or deny services to any user or host.

4. Use of any program, utility, or file that can be used to gain unauthorized access to any user account or host.

5. Forging header information.

6. Obtaining or attempting to obtain service by any means or device with intent to avoid payment;

7. Unauthorized access, alteration, destruction, or any attempt thereof, of any information of any Ripco customer or end-user by any means or device.

8. Engaging in any of the forgoing activities using the service of another provider, but channeling such activities through the Ripco network.

9. Any activity that potentially could harm Ripco's Network its customers networks or other networks.

Each Ripco customer is responsible for the activities of its customer base or end-users and, by accepting service from Ripco, is agreeing to ensure that its customers abide by this Policy. Complaints about customers or end-users of a Ripco customer will be forwarded to the customer's hostmaster for action. If irresponsible or illegal activity continues, then the Ripco customer may be subject to termination or other action as Ripco may deem appropriate without notice.

As stated in the terms and conditions for Ripco,

Ripco has the right to terminate the services of an offending customer or take other action as Ripco deems appropriate without notice. (See Paragraph #7 and #8). Ripco reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time.
